EVAN GOODCHILD is an award-winning director/editor and Webby-nominated podcast/music producer.

Goodchild’s documentaries have appeared on PBS, several film festivals of note, and in NYC gallery installations. His recent work has set focus on museums and artists, from the work of archivists and scholars redefining local black history in the NEH-funded “Reliquary of Blackness” to the muralist and painters of the Black Arts movement with “Art for the People: AfriCOBRA and Nelson Stevens” to his powerful feature doc debut with the award-winning “The Painted Life of Gregory Gillespie”.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Goodchild studied film and audio/radio at Emerson College. He teaches media production at UMass Amherst University Without Walls, produces podcasts for Yale University and the sustainability organization Commons, and his original music can be found on streaming services. He served as an audio curator and project producer for hitRECord for several years, a media production company founded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
